JP Members, family and friends who need our prayers::
  • CASSIE WATTS has been moved from HSV Hospital to Whitesburg Gardens, Room 109 to begin rehab. She still is not able to have visitors, but cards, telephone calls, and prayers are welcome. Her address will be posted on the bulletin board this morning.
  • Other JP members battling cancer are SUSIE CREQUE, BOBBY GOODE, & BETTY REAVIS.
  • LISA BATH had outpatient surgery on her left wrist Thursday. If you would like to provide food for her, contact STEPHANIE GRIFFITH.
  • ERNEST CASTEEL continues to have problems with his infected foot and remains confined to his home.
  • MILDRED BRANUM and SAMANTHA BACON continue recovering at home from recent surgeries.
  • JESSIE BEACH’S mother, Janie Allen, had surgery Thursday in Tuscumbia. She was expected to go home today.
  • Randy Hudson, who is the brother of former JP Member, SCOTT HUDSON, is in HSV Hospital Room 566. He is receiving blood thinners and hopes to go home this weekend.

    JP Members, family and friends who need our prayers::
  • SAMANTHA BACON had surgery Wednesday at Crestwood Hospital. She is doing well and went home Thursday.
  • SUSIE CREQUE returned to the Southern Manor Assisted Living facility in Fayetteville Friday. Her address is posted on the bulletin board in the front lobby.
  • CAROLYN JOHNSON received good news from her recent biopsy, it tested negative for cancer.
  • MILDRED BRANUM is recovering at home from recent back surgery.
  • ED HARBIN is being treated at home for TMD which is a disorder of the jaw bone.
  • CASSIE WATTS remains in Room 1752 at HSV Hosp. She has had six radiation treatments so far and will receive four more. She is a bit better and may be able to have visitors.
  • CHARLES MEIDINGER’S mother had back surgery Thursday at Crestwood Hospital.
  • DAVID and RUTH BATH’S grandson, Zeke Turrentine, is recovering from injuries he suffered during a mugging and robbery Thursday night in Little Rock, AR. He has a broken nose and several bruises.
  • Jordan Park members that are confined to nursing homes or their own homes or can only get out on a limited basis. DORIS BARNES, LIBBY BARNES, SUSIE CREQUE, SHIRLEY DAVIS, BETTY KING, REBA PATTON, ELOISE TANNER, MARGIE WATKINS, and CASSIE WATTS.
  • SYMPATHY: We extend our sympathy to SAM EAKES and his family in the passing of his cousin, John Michael McCowan, who was killed in a car accident last Tuesday.
  • We also extend our sympathy to the family of former JP Donna Cox who passed away last week from cancer. She was a cousin of Perry Young.

  • MILDRED BRANUM had back surgery Thursday. Everything went well and she went home from the hospital Friday morning.
  • CASSIE WATTS, who has been coping with bone cancer for some time, has been admitted to HSV Hosp. Room 1752. She has bone deterioration of the hip and is undergoing radiation treatments. The family requests no visitors at this time.
  • JP members battling cancer are BOBBY GOODE and BETTY REAVIS.
  • REBA PATTON spent several days in the hospital last week. She has returned to Cogburn.
  • Jordan Park members that are confined to nursing homes or their own homes or can only get out on a limited basis. DORIS BARNES, LIBBY BARNES, SUSIE CREQUE, SHIRLEY DAVIS, BETTY KING, REBA PATTON, ELOISE TANNER, MARGIE WATKINS, and CASSIE WATTS.
  • SYMPATHY: We extend our sympathy to JOHN EQUI in the passing of his mother, Lillian Equi, who passed away last Monday evening. Her funeral was yesterday.

  • BIRTH: Congratulations to MARIE and DANIEL BARNES in the birth of their baby daughter. Audrey Elizabeth Barnes was born Tuesday morning (8/17). She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. & is 19” long. Mother and baby are doing well. If you would like to provide food for the family, contact EMILY BRITNELL.

  • SUSIE CREQUE is in Room 466 at HSV Hospital. She is recovering from colon cancer surgery.
  • MARY DUFFY is in Room 221A at HSV Hospital. She is recovering from a broken knee.
  • TAMMY WOODARD had an iron infusion Thursday at the Cancer Institute which her doctor hopes will help her with the severe anemia she has been dealing with.
  • ERNEST CASTEEL, who is a diabetic, is being treated at home for an infection of the heel of his foot and must stay off his feet for several days.
  • RUBY TRAVIS continues to recover at home after recent surgery
  • JP members battling cancer are BOBBY GOODE, BETTY REAVIS, & CASSIE WATTS.
  • DON SCOTT’S sister, Dorothy Sims, remains in the cardiac ICU at a hospital in TN after suffering a massive heart attack. She is not doing well.
  • Former JP member, MARY RUTH MCPEAK, had day surgery Thursday. Everything went well and she has returned to her home. MARY RUTH has been battling breast cancer for several months.

    News for 1 August 2010

    JP Members, family and friends who need our prayers::
  • MARY DUFFY has been moved to HealthSouth. She is recovering from a broken knee.
  • MARLA CASON was admitted to the hospital in Carmel, Indiana (Indianapolis) Thursday while visiting relatives. She developed severe abdominal pains and had to be taken to the emergency room. The source of her pains has not been determined though it is possible that it is a light case of pancreatitis. It was expected that she would need to stay in the hospital for a couple of days.
  • CASSIE WATTS received good results from her recent blood work, but she is still in a lot of pain and unable to be up and about.
  • Other JP members battling cancer are BOBBY GOODE and BETTY REAVIS.
  • RUBY TRAVIS continues to improve. She was scheduled to return home from HealthSouth Friday.
  • Steve Basham, who is the father of SHANE and SHELBY BASHAM, will begin oral chemo treatments for a brain tumor on Monday.
  • MILDRED BRANUM’S sister, Dona Stewart has moved to The Madison Village, Room #2, which is an assisted living facility that is located on Wall Triana Highway. Dona is a member of the Harvest church, but has been a frequent visitor to Jordan Park.
  • Jordan Park members that are confined to nursing homes or their own homes or can only get out on a limited basis. DORIS BARNES, LIBBY BARNES, SUSIE CREQUE, SHIRLEY DAVIS, BETTY KING, REBA PATTON, ELOISE TANNER, MARGIE WATKINS, and CASSIE WATTS.

  • LUCIELLE WHITT has moved to the Gardens of Huntsville, Room 410. This is an assisted living facility which is located on Bailey Cove Road. She is feeling much better.
  • DANIEL ALEXANDER had a cyst removed from the back of his knee on Tuesday. He is home from the hospital and doing well. The family is awaiting the results of lab tests.
  • STEVE BASHAM, who is the father of SHANE & SHELBY BASHAM, will return to UAB on Monday and get the results of his biopsy. His address will be posted on the front lobby bulletin board today.
  • TOL BURK has returned to Tennessee. His condition has improved, but he is still very sick. He has pancreatitis.
  • JP members battling cancer are BOBBY GOODE, BETTY REAVIS, & CASSIE WATTS.

The group included: Jeff, Martha and Seth Archer, Donna Fredrick, Ben and Stacey Walker, Shane Basham, Leigh, Jamie and Michael Hubbard. Please pray for both the teaching effort and safe travel.

    RUBY TRAVIS had surgery Wednesday to repair a hernia. Everything went well and she was scheduled to go home from the hospital this weekend.
  • SHANE and SHELBY BASHAM’s father, STEVE BASHAM, went home from UAB Friday. His surgery went well and his recovery is going smoothly. He should receive his test results this week.
  • TOL BURK, the father of former JP member KRISTIANA BURK, who is a gospel preacher, is in the ICU in Puerto Rico. His condition remains very serious.
  • ELLA WHITE, who recently had eye surgery, has seen much improvement in her vision.
  • JP members battling cancer are BOBBY GOODE, BETTY REAVIS, & CASSIE WATTS.

  • MEN’S MEETING: The monthly men’s business meeting with the elders will be held Monday night, 7PM at the church bldg.

    DOMINICA TRIP: On July 16, a group of 10 members from JP will travel to Dominica to teach a VBS in the mornings and support a gospel meeting each evening. If you would like to help with the costs of this trip, contact JEFF ARCHER. There is also a need for drivers with vans to help transport the group to the Atlanta airport.

    LADIES LECTURESHIP: The Ladies Lectureship with LIZ ROBERTS is scheduled for Aug 20 & 21. The topic will be the "Song of Solomon."

    FALL GOSPEL MEETING with DAN PETERS is scheduled for Nov 14-17.

    TRAVELING: The Whites are in Myrtle Beach, SC. Susan Yell is visiting her mother in Florida. She will return Wednesday. Evan Yell will leave Tuesday for a 10 day trip to Manitoba, Canada.

    SYMPATHY: We have had several of our JP family to lose loved ones this past week. Please keep all these families in your prayers.

  • Our sympathy goes out to MARK SMITH and his family in the passing of his nephew, Smith Snuggs, who died in a drowning accident earlier this week. He was only 3 years old and lived in North Carolina. MARK and LITA have traveled to NC to be with the family.
  • We also extend our sympathy to DEBBIE HARBIN in the passing of her cousin, Larry Weber, who was killed in a car accident on Thursday. Larry’s wife is currently hospitalized as a result of the wreck.
  • Our sympathy is also with COREY and WAYNE BASWELL in the passing of their grandmother, Willie Mae Baswell. Her funeral was Friday in Robertsdale.
  • Sympathy is also extended to DIANA NASH in the passing of her aunt, Betty Harris. Her funeral was also Friday in New Hope.
